Role Overview The Category Manager, Sportswear is responsible for setting the strategic direction and long-term vision of the Sportswear category, ensuring sustainable growth and commercial consistency across seasons.The role provides category leadership by defining priorities, performance targets, and merchandising guidelines, acting as a strategic reference point between brand positioning and business execution.Key Responsibilities- Define and drive the Sportswear category strategy with a strong focus on commercial performance and growth.- Lead seasonal assortment planning and category architecture in collaboration with Design, Product, and Merchandising teams.- Own pricing, margin targets, and volume objectives for the category.- Partner with Planning and Sales teams to optimize sell-in and sell-through.- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and performance data to inform strategic category decisions.Requirements- 8+ years of experience in Category Management, Merchandising, or Product roles within sportswear.- Strong commercial mindset and solid understanding of merchandising dynamics.- Proven ability to translate brand direction into commercially successful assortments.- Fluent in English and Italian.
