Senior Hydrogeologist

Job Description AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team of Hydrogeologists and Environmental Engineers to work on: Hydrogeological Assessments, Groundwater Remediation Strategy Implementation, Groundwater Remediation Design, and Groundwater Monitoring at large contaminated industrial sites, and Groundwater Engineering at new development sites.Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, team-oriented professional with a strong technical background and capabilities in Hydrogeology, Groundwater Engineering, Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation, and Groundwater Modelling.In this role, you will work with our experienced team of Hydrogeologists, Hydrogeological Modelers, Environmental Engineers, and Project Managers in: Apply technical knowledge of site investigation, remediation, and contaminated site regulations to resolve complex environmental problems.Designing, planning, implementing, supervising, and interpreting hydrogeological investigations (well installations, groundwater level surveys and sampling, aquifer testing).Developing hydrogeological conceptual model and 3D Geological Models using various digital tools and geostatistical software packages.Developing numerical groundwater models using MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and other software packages.Working closely with environmental scientists and risk assessors in remediation plan procedures.Preparing proposals/workplans and managing project budgets, schedules, health and safety, and project staffing.Providing Hydrogeological input to environmental assessments of proposed commercial and industrial developments.Developing junior staff through ongoing mentoring.Travelling as required to meet project needs.Liaising with clients and regulators.Qualifications We are particularly looking for candidates with the following: +5 years of related experience, preferably within a multinational company; Fluency in Italian and English; Some fieldwork experience; Motivation, initiative, and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment; Ability to work under pressure; Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs; Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally; Ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revision ability to maintain good records of site-based activities; Strong attention to detail; Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits; Strong personal initiative, agility, and resourcefulness; Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering/Environmental Engineer/Geology Additional Information What We Offer AECOM: A World of Opportunities and Benefits Attractive Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary along with a range of exclusive benefits, including hybrid work, meal vouchers, welfare program, resources for personal well-being and mental health, gym memberships, health insurance, laptop, smartphone, employee assistance program, business travel insurance, service recognition awards, and a pension savings plan.Office in the Heart of Milan: Central location, with easy access to all the city's conveniences.Work Flexibility: We offer flexible work options to help you maintain an optimal work-life balance.Public Transport Allowances: We help cover the costs of your daily commute.Culture of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Welcoming Workplaces: Our culture promotes a welcoming and respectful work environment.AECOM Italy has obtained gender equality certification.Professional Growth and Development: We invest in your future with training and development programs to help you achieve your career goals.This offer is open to all genders in compliance with legislative decree ********, and to people of all ages and nationalities according to legislative decrees ****** and ******.
