Industrial Communications Engineer - Engineering Services- Relocate to Saudi ArabiaJoin our team at Aramco.This role is based in Saudi Arabia on a permanent residential basis.Company OverviewAramco is one of the world's largest producers of hydrocarbon energy and chemicals, operating with some of the lowest upstream carbon intensities among major producers.The company invests heavily in technology and infrastructure to maximize value while maintaining a strong commitment to society.OverviewEngineering Services are seeking a highly skilled Communications Engineer to lead the development and implementation of next-generation telecommunications systems and infrastructure, focusing on radio communications (particularly in the 450MHz range), satellite, 5G, 6G, and emerging technologies.The successful candidate will collaborate with Instrumentation and Controls engineers, operating sites, facility planning, and project management teams to ensure reliable, scalable industrial communications systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and expertise for development, implementation, and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems, including radio, satellite, and 5G / 6G technologies.Originate and conduct engineering studies to determine optimal solutions to complex technical problems, improving revenue, reducing costs, and enhancing process safety.Lead or participate in task teams investigating incidents or solving specific technical problems, handling special assignments that require extensive technical experience.Develop and maintain company standards, material specifications, procedures, and best practices, applying industry codes and standards relevant to telecommunications.Review and evaluate vendors and contractors, represent the company in technical dealings with suppliers and design firms.Introduce best practices and new technologies to achieve best-in-class performance in the telecommunications industry.Perform cost analyses and value engineering studies to recommend cost-effective solutions.Conduct seminars and technical exchange meetings to promote new technologies and best practices with personnel across engineering organizations and facilities.Publish papers for peer-reviewed journals and deliver presentations at technical exchange meetings.Deliver technical courses to young talent through the Technical Services Professional Academy (TSPA).QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related accredited field.At least 20 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, including 5+ years focused on radio communications, satellite, and 5G technologies.In-depth knowledge of telecommunications systems—network architecture, protocols, infrastructure design, and performance optimization.Experience in IoT / IIoT, civil engineering, underground fiber-optic cable design / implementation, industrial wireless protocols (ISA100, Wireless HART), and understanding of regulatory standards for 5G, 6G, satellite, and radio communications.Recognized expertise and professional standing within the industry and relevant professional societies or industrial organizations.Working EnvironmentOur high-performing employees are attracted by challenging and rewarding professional, technical, and industrial opportunities.At Aramco, you will work on truly world-scale projects supported by capital and technology investment.We invest heavily in talent development through one of the largest workforce development programs in the world.Country / Region : Saudi Arabia (SA)Seniority level : Mid-Senior levelEmployment type : Full-timeIndustry : Oil and GasJ-*****-Ljbffr#J-*****-Ljbffr
