Join to apply for theProduct Manager - Cloudrole atCanonicalCanonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets.Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT.Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors.ResponsibilitiesCommercial strategy and marketing leadership of one of our cloud native operations product areas, including Juju, Identity management and Observability.Lead the lifecycle of the product development by reviewing the priorities and goals for the products you are responsible for.Work closely with the engineering leads to oversee the product development process.Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing and sales to address common challenges across projects, to align on priorities, to make informed decisions and to keep business execution on track.Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities, and to ensure alignment with Canonical's overall vision.Develop your team through coaching, mentoring and training.Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate it across Canonical.Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement.Contribute to the development of strategies to create and maintain high-performing teams.Support the success of the sales team in winning new opportunities by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.QualificationsSeasoned product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and/or management of open source software in the cloud native landscape.Experience designing or managing software operations for large-scale distributed systems.Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers.Comprehensive knowledge of common enterprise security and compliance requirements in the area of software operations.Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence.Passion to write about technologies and experience in developer marketing.Strong work ethic and personal interests aligned with open source philosophy.Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.Nice-to-have skillsExperience with CNCF projects, identity or observability systems.Insatiable intellectual curiosity and a passion for the future of technology.Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving ability.Visionary leadership.About CanonicalCanonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.As the company that publishes Ubuntu, one of the most important open source projects and the platform for AI, IoT and the cloud, we are changing the world of software.Canonical is an equal-opportunity employer.We foster a workplace free from discrimination.We are proud to give all applicants fair consideration.#J-*****-Ljbffr
