Fabrication Shop Superintendent (contract)Wood is currently recruiting for a Fabrication Shop Superintendent (contract).The role will be working at various locations in the UK and Europe to support the Redcar site on an energy transition project.The RoleThe Fabrication Shop Superintendents role is to oversee offsite pipework and pipe support fabrication undertaken at an off-site fabrication facility.The fabrication scope is in relation to the energy transition project located at Wilton in Teesside working as part of an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT).Reporting directly to the PCC (Power Island) Construction Manager the successful candidate will have demonstrable pipework fabrication experience with a strong background in UK onshore construction relating to a top tier COMAH site.Knowledge of PED ****, CDM Regulations ****, and Construction risk management is also required.The role will require being assigned to the fabrication facility and undertake occasional business trips to supporting subcontractors, as well as to the construction site in Wilton.Our Clients and ProjectsDesigning the future.Transforming the world.Wood's Projects business unit specialises in delivering predictable and consistent results in high complexity projects that include new technology, challenging construction logistics and, or sheer scale.Just like the nature and expansiveness of our sectors, so is our Projects business, in its solutions, abilities and global track record.Across any major capital project lifecycle, we provide a full suite of solutions from programme and project management, to engineering and design, procurement, construction and project delivery.What makes you remarkable?Expected :HNC / NVQ L4 or equivalentExtensive experience of working within a client or Principal Contractor team on UK brownfield Top Tier COMAH sitesHands on experience of construction (incl. fabrication) planning, preparations and executionPractical expertise of constructability and hazard identification and managementDesirable :Piping apprenticeship preferred but not essential#J-*****-Ljbffr
