As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for optics in the company, you will be responsible for designing, optimising, and troubleshooting laser optical systems. You will work on improving efficiency, resolving issues, and ensuring the seamless integration of laser systems into production machines. This position will report to the R&D Department and collaborate closely with a team of engineers and specialists to drive continual innovation.ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCELead the design and development of laser optical systems, with a focus on optics, laser power distances, and optical componentsTroubleshoot, optimise, and redesign optical systems to resolve issues and improve efficiencyServe as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for optics within the company, providing guidance and expertise to cross-functional teamsCollaborate with R&D to integrate laser optical systems into production machines and ensure high precisionDefine and implement quality control and testing standards for laser optical systemsConduct hands-on work in the lab to test, refine, and optimise systems for greater performanceEnsure the efficient operation and continuous improvement of laser optical systemsQUALIFICATIONSDegree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or a related fieldExtensive hands-on experience in the design, optimisation, and troubleshooting of laser optical systemsProven ability to resolve technical issues, redesign systems, and optimise for efficiencyExperience with laser scanning systems and optical laboratory instrumentationFluency in English
