Important Company Update – Please Read Before ApplyingOn January 22, ****, Aptiv announced its decision to separate its EDS division to form two separate independent companies :This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems.Our solutions are central to enabling the next generation of electrified, automated, and connected vehicles, and we are committed to innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence.We are looking for talented individuals who are excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of EDS and delivering industry-leading solutions to the world's top automotive manufacturers.Why join Aptiv?You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge applications, develop breakthrough technologies, and deliver innovative solutions to some of the world's leading automotive brands.See your work come to life on the road—helping make mobility safer, greener, and more connected.Ready to shape the future of mobility with us?YOUR ROLEAs an Application Engineer , you will be at the heart of our product development, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality electrical systems.You'll be responsible for translating technical requirements into robust solutions that meet performance, cost, and quality targets.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage technical documentation (drawings, BOMs) aligned with project timelines.Define schematics and select key components (coverings, attachments) to optimize system performance.Collaborate with customers on DMU, physical layout, and installation FMEA.Support component designers and maintain electrical component databases.Lead wiring harness installation planning and drawing delivery status.Apply Aptiv engineering tools and FTQ checks to ensure design quality.Coordinate design activities across development and production sites.Organize design team meetings and support P-FMEA in the plant.Lead special technical initiatives and maintain Product Engineering KPIs.Report design progress and risks to the Product Engineering Manager.Support industrialization, PPAP activities, and wiring harness qualification testing.Manage design changes and propose cost reduction solutions (VA / VE).Act as the technical interface with customers throughout the program lifecycle.YOUR PROFILETechnical degree (minimum : high school) in electrical or mechanical engineering.3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in wire harness design.Basic knowledge of wiring harnesses and electrical components.Proficiency in English.Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD tools.Solid understanding of technical drawings.Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.Open-minded and collaborative, with experience working in diverse teams.YOUR BENEFITS AT APTIVCompetitive compensation packageLearning, professional growth and development in a world recognized international environmentAccess to internal & external trainingRecognition for innovation and excellence.Opportunities to give back to the communityMeaningful work that makes a difference in the world#J-*****-Ljbffr
