Who we areBitrock is a high-end consulting and system integration company,strongly committed to offering cutting-edge and innovative solutions.Our tailored consulting services enable our clients to preserve the value of legacy investments while migrating to more efficient systems and infrastructure.We take a holistic approach to technology: we consider each system in its totality, as a set of interconnected elements that work together to meet business needs.We thrive on overcoming challenges to help our clients reach their goals, by supporting them in the following areas: Data, AI & ML Engineering;Back-end Engineering, Platform Engineering, Front-end Engineering, Product Design & UX Engineering, Mobile App Development, Quality Assurance, FinOps, GovernanceThe effectiveness our solutions also stems frompartnershipswith key technology vendors, like HashiCorp, Confluent, Lightbend, Databricks, and Meterian.Who we are looking forWe are seeking aFreelance API Architect / Technical Leadfor a leading company in the insurance sector.This is a short-term engagement focused on supporting a competitive tender process, with the potential for extended collaboration upon successful award.What you will doIn this role, you will design and define the API architecture strategy for a major migration project, working closely with international stakeholders to establish governance frameworks and technical standards.You will be responsible for creating comprehensive architectural documentation and providing expert guidance on MuleSoft implementation best practices.Responsibilities and activitiesDesign and define API architecture patterns and standards for enterprise-scale implementationsEstablish API governance frameworks, including policy as code and semantic versioning strategiesProvide technical coordination and alignment with Group-level architecture teamsDefine migration strategies from legacy API Gateway platforms to MuleSoft Anypoint PlatformCreate technical documentation for tender submissions, including architectural diagrams and implementation roadmapsAdvise on OAuth 2.0 security implementations and OpenAPI 3.0 specificationsMust have hands-on experience with:Strong expertise withMuleSoft Anypoint Platform(Flex Gateway, API Manager, Design Center)Deep knowledge ofOAuth 2.0authentication and authorization frameworksProficiency inOpenAPI 3.0specification and API design patternsExperience withsemantic versioningand API lifecycle managementProven track record inAPI Gateway migrations, particularly from CA Broadcom ESG to MuleSoftStrong capability in definingpolicy as codeand API governance modelsFluent English(mandatory for international collaboration)Nice to have:Experience in the insurance or financial services sectorKnowledge of enterprise integration patterns and microservices architecturesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative working environmentsPrevious involvement in competitive tender processesMode of work:Full remoteDuration of engagement:January ****, with potential extension upon project awardRecruitment processOur recruitment process has 2 stages:HR interview with our recruitment teamTechnical evaluation with our internal technical expertsHow to applyYou can send your CV to
