About Us A career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.With operations in every corner of the world, our work goes to the cutting-edge of digital transformation and technology.From the multi-cultural strength of our global organisation to the sustainable and innovative ways we work to bring people together, there's something for everyone to get involved.DescriptionHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Construction Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.The position is open on Turin, available for work on national and international construction projects on an extended-fixed term.AccountabilitiesEnsure the quality of the works (e.g. compliance of the works with the project design and specifications)Ensure compliance of construction activities with the construction planning.Liaise with customers, authorities, contractors, partners, and subcontractors for site and/or materials takeover and/or handover.Ensure compliance on site of the rules foreseen by the HSE Management plan for the works under the responsible's authority.Ensure the optimization of the resources (internal and external/subcontractors) in the project on site, having as baseline the project budget and planning.Develop site specific plans to be implemented in projects programme and budget in agreement with the Construction Manager.Ensure the continuous updating and improvement of processes and procedures.Support the Construction Manager to ensure the material is available on site in accordance with the working schedule agreed with customer and subcontractors.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience: Up to 5 years on site activities, site workforce management, site technical control and coordination.Career level experienced (non-manager).Working knowledge of Windows and Office package.Experience and fluency on technical drawing and reporting.Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project as a plus.Knowledge of signalling, power supply and traction power technology systems.Good verbal and written communication skills.Health, safety and environment.Driving licence valid in Sweden, availability to drive.Open to discuss travel/long-term assignment to national/foreign construction projects.Desired Skills & ExperienceBasic to average working knowledge of rail transit subsystem and work experience on metro site works is a plus.The ideal candidate is self-confident, smart, communicative and team worker.Education and ExperienceHigh school degree in electric, mechanic or TLC, with certified 2-5 years work experience on railways or metro site electromechanical or civil works.Engineering university degree or equivalent technical background (electric, mechanic, TLC) with 1-year work experience on railways or metro site electromechanical or civil works.LanguagesEnglish proficiency.Equal Opportunity Employer StatementWe are committed at Hitachi Rail to create a diverse environment and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.Join us at .#J-*****-Ljbffr
