About the jobReady to come to the USA?Join CoastAL Orange Beach Restaurant, the only beach front restaurant in Orange Beach, Alabama.CoastAL Restaurant brings a fresh, classic CoastAL fare featuring chef inspired dishes, local seafood, seasonal favorites, and indulgent desserts.From quick bites to eat while on the beach to date nights with spectacular views, CoastAL's combination of indoor and outdoor seating is the best of both worlds.The restaurant is searching for passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive aspiring chefs worldwide seeking to live a once-in-a-lifetime professional and cultural experience in the United States.ResponsibilitiesAs a cook trainee, your duties will include the following :Performing various food preparations, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons.Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.Daily preparation of food items in their assigned outlet as well as other areas of the kitchen.Supplying clean and sanitized dishes to the dining room and kitchen stations as well as operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment and supplies.Assisting the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Cooks, and other kitchen personnel in the production of menu items which ensures a high level of performance, guest satisfaction, and profitability.Estimated Monthly BudgetProjected monthly income : $2,400 (Hourly wage : $15)Projected costs for housing : $600 / MonthMeals provided during working hoursJ1 Visa ProgramThis traineeship is part of a J1 visa program intended for young professionals, or recent graduates to propel their careers, gain work experience, and improve their skills through cultural exchange.The J1 Visa process and application fees has a total cost of $1,870, broken down as follows :First payment due upon signing contract : $420 (non-refundable)Last payment due upon visa approval : $1,450 (includes $650 of mandatory health insurance)DisclaimerThe first month of housing has to be paid by the candidate in advance.The employer does not cover the airfare cost, which will vary depending on the candidate's city of departure.Number of positions : 10$14 / Hour ($2,400 / Month)Department : F&B kitchenAbout youTo be eligible for a J1 Visa, you must meet the following requirements :You're between the ages of 18 to 35 years old.You graduated from an accredited institution, hold a degree related to the job position, and have at least 12 months of professional experience - ORYou're a young professional with at least 5 years of work experience in the field of interest.English Proficiency : IntermediateElevate Your Culinary Skills in the Heart of AlabamaAttention all emerging culinary talentsCoastAL Orange Beach Restaurant, a gem nestled on the pristine sands of Orange Beach, Alabama, welcomes you to embark on a transformative culinary trainee program.Immerse yourself in the ultimate dining experience, with waves lapping at your doorstep and the scent of fresh, coastal-inspired cuisine in the air.Our menu features an array of chef-inspired creations, local seafood delights, seasonal specialties, and decadent desserts, promising an unforgettable culinary journey.
