Environmental Health Safety SpecialistJoin to apply for the Environmental Health Safety Specialist role at Ebara Elliott Energy.Overview & ResponsibilitiesWe are an OEM manufacturer of Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors and Cryogenic Pumps.We are looking for a Field EHS Professional to support with site turnarounds, outages and shutdowns across MEA region.This position is responsible for directing and managing foundational EHS systems utilized by the EHS organization globally with an emphasis on field operations for EMA.It manages EHS compliance and process conformance, facilitates management of EHS issues and risks, and drives continual improvement from a holistic EHS perspective for the EMA region.Specific Job ResponsibilitiesManages EHS programs and systems that are utilized by the organization globally with an emphasis in single facility, region, or business unit.Deploys Corporate Elliott EHS policy throughout the area of responsibility.Supports creation of and implementation of the EHS strategic plan within area of responsibility and supports business unit leadership with EHS matters.Develops and leads implementation of EHS systems including the identification of internal processes and procedures compliant to ISO requirements.Manages the strategic interface with external regulatory agencies and external EHS legal counsel.Manages third party certification, customer audits, and customer qualifications.Provides leadership and technical guidance for contracted EHS in Field Service to develop EHS talent and competency.Works with EHS colleagues to identify better practices, establish directives, standardize key processes, and deploy within the area of responsibility.Manages the incident investigation process to ensure root causes are identified and mitigated, identifies incident and near miss trends, best practices, and implements opportunities for incident prevention.Evaluates incident, observation, and other EHS data to identify trends, create, and implement EHS programs and processes to drive improvements.Reviews the results of environmental health and safety audits and emergency response exercises within the area of responsibility.Required Background and ExperienceBachelor of Science degree in Environmental and/or Health and Safety Science or related field (or equivalent relevant experience) plus a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience in an industrial or petrochemical environment.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and written skills are required, as this position must interact with all levels within Elliott, Elliott subcontractors', and Elliott customers' organizations.Working knowledge of EHS regulatory framework (particularly for EMA region) and EHS management systems.Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, and internet based systems) required.RSPP (for Italy) or NEBOSH IGC qualification.Experience with EHS management systems (ISO ***** and/or OHSAS *****), desired.ASP, CSP, or CHMM or equivalent certification desired.Experience working in a benzene/hydrocarbon exposure environment, confined space, working at height & lifting activities arrangements is preferred.First Aid Certificate is highly preferred.Base Location & Work ScheduleThis is a full time permanent position based in Italy on remote working basis.Candidates must be able to live and work in Italy and the EU.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustrial Machinery Manufacturing, Engineering Services, and Machinery Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
