Buyer, Italy Join to apply for the Buyer, Italy role at ION.About UsWe are a community of visionary innovators, dedicated to providing pioneering software and consultancy services to financial institutions, trading firms, central banks, governments, and corporations around the world.We strive to simplify the way people work with workflow and process automation software, real-time data, and business intelligence.We are 13,000+ employees, operate globally with 80+ offices, and serve over 4,800 customers worldwide.Your RoleWe are looking for an experienced Buyer with a focus on IT procurement.This role will consolidate our supplier base and optimize renewals and commitments across software, services, cloud, and other IT categories, while ensuring alignment with ION Group procurement standards.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProactively manage supply contract procurement, working closely with Purchasing Areas and the Legal DepartmentIdentify opportunities to achieve business savings using negotiation and procurement best practices, tools, and methodsIndependently manage tenders and bid evaluationsMonitor market trends and suppliers, and conduct price benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunitiesPerform analysis on new and existing costs, and review cost reduction and cost avoidance activitiesEnsure compliance with ION Group procurement objectives, policies, and procedures during supplier negotiations and contract award processesSkills, Experience, and Qualifications RequiredMaster's degree (Economics, Law, or Engineering)Solid knowledge of modern procurement methods, procedures, best practices, and supporting toolsMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the IT industryStrong analytical capabilities and a data-driven, solution-oriented mindsetExcellent negotiation, communication, and teamwork skillsFlexibility, proactivity, and willingness to continuously learn and improveHigh level of commitment and ownershipExcellent knowledge of the English languageExcellent knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel) and ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Jaggaer, etc.)What We OfferPermanent employment contract.LocationMilan.Important NotesAccording to the Italian Law (L.*****) candidates from the disability list will be given priority.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionPurchasing and Supply Chain.Industries: Software Development.#J-*****-Ljbffr
