Job OverviewQuality Engineer– Bridgestone EMEALocation: Roma, IT Type of work: On site Type of contract: Open-ended/permanent Full/Part Time: Full timePosition SnapshotJob Req ID: *****About The RoleTo support quality-related activities assigned with the scope of new technologies introduction and continuous improvement applied in the manufacturing and logistic area with special focus on quality assurance processes applied in the manufacturing and product evaluation.The person should be able to develop and carry out autonomously assigned activities with supervision from the coordinator.ResponsibilitiesDigital Quality Assurance roadmap implementation (Quality 4.0)Support the quality assurance processes applied in the manufacturing, productRespect plan realization for projects as QA engineerSupport the injection of digital QA capabilities in Roma PlantManufacturing QA support to new process and new product designPartner with cross-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the early product design phasePerform Risk Process Quality assessment by PFMEA analysis on existing and new technologies and ensure robust linkage with upstream Risk Analysis (DFMEA / DRBFM) with special focus on Q Characteristics, ensuring cost-effective preventive and detection methods in the processDevelop and implement cutting edge quality inspection tools to evaluate functional, dimensional and cosmetic part characteristicsSupport and collect data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specificationsProblem solving based on data analysis; provide guidance to determine root cause and recommend potential solutionsInterface with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the productRisk reduction, Quality Assurance and Continuous ImprovementPerform root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem-solving tools (like Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments, etc.)Follow up simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions.Promote horizontal extension.Follow up risks identification along supply chain and assure compliance to all quality requirementsFollow up the risk reduction concept according to the quality standards guidelines & global policiesTimely issuing and/or updating relevant quality standards and Co PFMEAPeriodical reporting on activities status to managementSupport external audits (IATF, Regulations, etc...)Qualifications & Experience RequiredEducation: Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology.Experience: Previous working experience in the tire industry is considered an advantage.Technical SkillsDigital Quality Assurance roadmap implementation (Quality 4.0)Support quality assurance processes applied in manufacturing and product evaluationRespect plan realization for QA projectsSupport injection of digital QA capabilities in Roma PlantManufacturing QA support to new processes and new product designsPartner with cross-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the early product design phasePerform PFMEA analysis on existing and new technologies and ensure robust linkage with upstream DFMEA/DRBFMDevelop and implement cutting edge quality inspection tools for functional, dimensional and cosmetic part characteristicsSupport and collect data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specificationsProblem solving based on data analysis;
