immune diseases and tumors as evolving systems and use multi-modal data through spatiotemporal scales, to understand why and how those diseases change over time.We will also tackle the question of what are the mechanisms by which those diseases stop responding to treatment, developing drug resistance.About the PositionWithin the "Immunogenomics & Cancer Research Flagship", and under the supervision ofNereo Kalebic(Research Group Leader) we are seeking a talentedTechnician/Senior Technician for Organoid Culturingwho will be responsible for culturing and manipulating organoids to support the experiments of various research projects of different research groups working within the Flagship Research program.We are seeking a highly motivated applicant with expertise in stem cell and organoid culture.The candidate must have a strong cell biology and microscopy background, be highly organized and meticulous.Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.The candidate will collaborate closely with HT National Facilities and several research groups.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesConducting experiments in cell culture, with strong emphasis on development, optimization and application of protocols for stem cell and organoid cultures (e.g., brain organoids, cancer organoids, intestinal organoids).Maintaining cells and organoids generated in several HT labs within the Flagship Research Program.Sample preparation for light microscopy techniques including high-content imaging, as well as for multi-omics profiling.Ensuring that all primary human material is stored and processed according to the health and safety and ethics committee guidance.Performing meticulous sample tracking, storing and QC.Generating reliable data for publication in the projects to which they are assigned and recording all data and results in specified forms.Collaborating effectively with different HT National Facilities (Genomics, Light Imaging, Genome Engineering and Disease Modelling).Providing technical support and supervision to junior researchers in different research groups.Liaising with Lab Managers, Senior Research Technicians and other staff to write risk assessments and ensure that they are regularly updated.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant subject, e.g., molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or in a related field of the life sciences.Previous experience with stem cell and/or organoid cultures.Previous experience in laboratories involved in the areas of main responsibilities (for Senior Technician, at least 5 years of proven experience as Laboratory Technician).Fluency in English – HT is an international research institute.Preferential RequirementsPrevious experience in light microscopy (confocal and similar).Previous experience in sample preparation for genomics analysis.Organizational and Social SkillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and to work independently.Excellent organization and communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating by the ability to lead and gain the assistance and cooperation of others in a team
