Software Development Engineer, Communications and Corporate Responsibility, Operations and TechnologyJob ID: ******* | Amazon.com Services LLCAre you passionate about creating software that applies Generative AI and Natural Language Processing to solve business problems at Amazon's scale?Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where high ownership and customer obsession make an outsized impact?At Amazon's Communications and Corporate Responsibility organization, we lead media intelligence and brand management for one of the world's most iconic brands.We build systems that use Large Language Models to search, analyze, tag, and route global media and social coverage, empowering our worldwide communications team.Key Job Responsibilities- Ingest and process global news media, broadcast, podcast, and social media in real-time.- Design Generative AI solutions that revolutionize how communications professionals create, analyze, and review content.- Build robust search and monitoring mechanisms to track brand mentions and industry trends.- Develop intuitive reporting tools that transform complex data into actionable intelligence.- Create an intuitive UX for internal customers.A Day in the Life- Daily stand-up to report progress and discuss blockers.- Hands-on building: design, prototype, code, and operate systems.- Participate in design reviews and bug-bash sessions.- Quick chats with teammates for alignment and guidance on problems.- Meet with product managers and customers to gather feedback on UX wireframes and features.About the TeamThe CCR Ops & Tech Measurement team values high ownership, bias for action, and customer obsession.We tackle ambiguous and challenging problems, invent efficient, scalable, and operationally sound solutions, and incorporate Generative AI into our workflows to accelerate delivery.Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of professional software development experience.- 2+ years of design or architecture experience with reliability and scaling in mind.- Proficiency in at least one programming language.- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle.- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts in clear, simple language.Preferred Qualifications- 3+ years of experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.- Ability to handle ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem-solving skills.- Experience with search technologies such as OpenSearch.- Experience applying Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, or Machine Learning to analyze text at scale.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need accommodations during the application and hiring process, please visit for more information.#J-*****-Ljbffr
