Nanotechnology Scientist

CoeLux Srl, ComoNExT Technology Park (Lomazzo, Italy)Role:To support the development of core-shell particles for polymer composites.Responsibilities:- To ensure continuous process enhancement for nano, submicro and micro particles;- To sustain the development of innovative synthetic routes for the preparation of core-shell structures;- To prepare core-shell structures suitable for integration in polymer composites on large scale;- To identify effective characterization techniques for particles/structures assessment;- To guarantee analysis data interpretation and editing of activity reports;- To provide technical support to R&D projects by ensuring timeframe constraints, team collaborative approach, periodic updates for the performed activity, presentation of main results.- To contribute at the design of nanocomposite materials reproducing the appearance of the sky and the sun.Skills- Nanoparticles synthetic routes as sol gel synthesis and coacervation;- In-situ and Interfacial polymerization;- Radical and cationic polymerization;- Nanoprecipation and Ionotropic gelation;- Nanoparticles surface modification;- Particles based dispersions, emulsions formulations (water in oil; oil in water);- Acrylic formulations;- Schlenk line processing; handling of gas/atmosphere sensitive materials.EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE / special SAFETY required by the position:- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science with experience in Nanotechnology.- PhD or 3 years experience in the following topics is required: polymer composites and core-shell structures.- English fluently.If you are a Scientist with a keen interest in Industrial Research, please send your CV to reporting in the object the position title.
