Risk Rating Specialist

OverviewWithin Generali the Risk Management ensures continuous monitoring of the most significant risks and is devoted to guarantee effective risk control.The Analyst will be responsible for the evaluation of corporates' and financial institution creditworthiness.Specifically, the analysis will focus on the ability of the issuers to repay financial obligations based on the analysis of the borrower's credit profile.The assessment will be based on the internal methodologies developed by the team and could potentially be translated into the assignment of Internal Credit Ratings.S/He will also support the Head of the Unit in developing and executing the enhancement and maintenance of the credit rating framework and reinforcing risk management capabilities to ensure internal and regulatory compliance.In addition, part of the responsibilities will include project management leading and oversight of various analytical, IT infrastructure and operational projects.The resource will perform complex analysis to identify opportunities to effectively measure risk.The resources will cover the following task/responsibility:ResponsibilitiesProvide rating for Private Debt Investments/OpinionVerify the need to provide an internal credit rating according to Mandates, Pension Funds, OICR (as requested by the ESMA regulation - non overreliance on external rating)Oversight the activity performed by the external provider • assist and deep dive on each data received from the providerPerform a monthly reporting on the internal credit rating calculated for the Credit Risk CommitteeKeep the relationship with clients for the service requestedAnalyze and develop new risk metrics relying on the information retrieved from the rating calculated (e.g. probability of default...)RequirementsMaster's Degree desired, BA/BS in Economics, Finance or related field requiredRelevant (at least 1/2 years) existing knowledge and experience in the credit/risk analysis of non-financial corporates with very strong accounting knowledgeFluency in English (written and spoken);Be able to work autonomously to ultimately deliver a final product without any oversightHave a collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skillsAdvanced project management and presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communicationA clear advantage would be to have gained relevant experience within one of the main rating agencies within the Non-Financial Corporate segment or having worked in a credit department of a major financial institutionPossess strong knowledge of financial products, business processes, and industry best practices and regulatory requirements for model risk managementCompany ProfileGenerali is a major player in the global insurance industry – a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development, and welfare of modern societies.Over almost 200 years, we have built a multinational Group that is present in more than 60 countries, with 470 companies and nearly 80,000 employees.Our Group aims to become the standard bearer and industry leader in the European retail insurance market, building on our existing base of 50 million retail clients, out of an overall total of 72 million.Generali Asset Management is a European investment specialist, offering a wide range of active funds and bespoke solutions across both public and private markets.Our investment experience is grounded in a solid heritage, with skills that have been developed and honed over time by managing Generali Group and external clients' assets.Generali Asset Management S.p.A. guarantees a solid framework of services designed to support various asset management activities.Key elements include the provisioning of IT services over all applications underpinning the investment and asset management value chain (Front Office, Trading Desk, Investment Compliance, Middle and Back Office, Analytics and Reporting, etc.) The company also acts as a holding company, retaining share capital in the boutiques and Generali Investments' companies.#J-*****-Ljbffr
