Senior Caregiver
2 settimane fa
THANK YOU for reading, This position is not open now. We live in a beautiful town/house in the Ligurian Apennines (North West Italy, near 5 Terre, very green area ), with daily free buses linking up the town to the beach in the summer. The town is small, doesn't have a train station so life there can be too quiet for some, idyllic for others. The caregiver would have a floor of the house with bathroom for herself/himself most of the time. My father is ok, but a bit repetitive as he sometimes asks again and again the same question: He could have a principle of Alzheimer but he hasn't been diagnosed. He is fully autonomous but we need someone to cook/do shopping, some light cleaning at home for house and his clothes, and make sure there are no biscuits or sweets around at night. Also the person should try and convince him to walk say 15 minutes per day and maybe watch a bit of TV together. Dad is 82, was deputy captain on ships, speaks good English, and has two sons visiting often. Ideally we would like someone who can speak a bit of Italian and can drive in Italy but it is not a big problem if caregiver doesn't. Thank you. We might also decide not to take a new caregiver.
