Officine Meccaniche S.p.A.LocationButtrio HQJob familyENGINEERINGAbout usFounded in ****, Danieli is a world leader in the construction of plants and machinery for the steel industry.The company has over twenty-five divisions and is renowned for innovation, team spirit, excellence and reliability.We are currently strengthening our Danieli Centro Met – Long Products – Team.Location: Buttrio (Udine)ResponsibilitiesThe figure works within the Technical Office, in the field of designing machines for rolling long products.Designs the machines assigned according to the contract and the last Company standard in respect of time, cost and quality.Is responsible for the standardization and innovation of the assigned machines.Principal Responsibilities:• Follow the assigned design activities, ensuring the achievement of the following objectives: -Innovation and continuous technical improvement.-Correct sizing of the machines.-Compliance with contractual performance.-Containment of the number of Non-Conformities.-Optimization of engineering costs and times.• Ensure the competitiveness of the machines through: -Rationalization of design, detail quality, consumption, durability, and maintainability of the machines.-Monitoring the performance of the machines in operation.-Standardization.-Support to the relevant department in drafting the technical specifications to be provided to the Purchasing Office.• Ensure customer satisfaction through: -Adequate support to the technical-commercial office in technical discussions with the customer.-Effective coordination with the technology office to define the feasibility process and execution methods of machines and plants.-Effective coordination with the Project Manager in team-up with Production, Purchasing Office, Logistics, and Commissioning to respect the project Time Schedule.Qualification and Technical Requirements• Engineering/technical degree or high school diploma (mechanical or aeronautical);• Good knowledge of English;• At least 3 years of experience in steel plant design, equipment design, and project development.• Mechanical design.• Familiarity with multidisciplinary design environments (Hydraulic, Civil, and Electrical/Automation).• Excellent knowledge of 3D modeling software.• Basic knowledge of finite element analysis softwareSoft Skills• Coherence and reliability;• Customer orientation;• Passion;• Willing to grow;• Team spirit.
