OverviewWe're looking for an experienced FP&A Team Lead, preferably former investment banker, to build, scale, and strategically lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function at Leadtech.This role requires a senior finance leader with strong business acumen, advanced analytical expertise, and a proven track record of financial modelling and deal management.As an FP&A leader, this person will operate with high autonomy, taking ownership of a complex function, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring cross-departmental alignment with organizational objectives.They will guide their team through complex challenges, lead financial innovation, and serve as a key partner to executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning, and strategic financial cyclesDeliver deep financial insights to influence key business decisions, investment strategies, and performance optimizationEnsure alignment between FP&A priorities and company goals, anticipating risks and identifying opportunities proactivelyTeam Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead small to medium teams, setting clear performance objectives, strategic priorities, and areas of accountabilityMentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growthOversee workforce planning, talent development, and hiring decisions with a long-term strategic mindsetPromote idea-sharing, cross-team collaboration, and a culture of ownership and innovationOperational & Organizational AccountabilityTake ownership of a complex area or platform, ensuring operational excellence and delivering expected business outcomesAct proactively to address organizational, team, or workflow challenges, proposing long-term solutionsManage complex projects and high-impact initiatives with minimal supervision, escalating only for specific strategic decisionsAdvanced Financial Modeling & AnalysisBuild and review sophisticated financial models to support scenario analysis, valuation exercises, M&A activities, fundraising or strategic planningProvide financial guidance for new product initiatives, partnerships, or business model changesReporting & Executive InsightsPrepare and present monthly and quarterly financial packages for senior leadership and board stakeholdersTranslate complex financial information into clear insights for both financial and non-financial leadersProcess Improvement & System OptimizationLead initiatives to improve FP&A processes, reporting accuracy, and automationCollaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance data integrity and financial transparencyStrategic & Competitive IntelligenceMonitor market trends, benchmarks, and competitor performance to inform strategic directionCalibrate the impact of external changes, proposing strategic responses aligned with long-term business goalsQualificationsExperience & Background: 5-7 years of progressive experience in Finance, including leading teams, ideally in high-growth or complex environmentsStrong background in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or tech-driven businessesDemonstrated ability to lead teams through complex analysis, strategic transformation, and cross-functional initiativesProven ability to lead small teams, assigning responsibilities to maximize individual and team potentialSkilled at setting strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectivesExceptional collaborator, capable of aligning strategies and goals across multiple departmentsExpert in advanced financial modeling (P&L, Cash Flow, scenario analysis)Proficiency in financial systems;
