Guided by our culture, The Calling, we create an environment enlivened by our employee value propositions: Enrich and be Enriched, Bring Your True Self, Curate the Extraordinary, and Leave Your Legacy.As champions of Relationship Hospitality, we cultivate a culture that fosters our values of innovation, passion, collaboration, ownership and transparency.We strive to Make the Place - creating a future where people and place enrich one another.Rosewood Rome is currently casting for a Director of Events, responsible for leading the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all events hosted by the hotel, under the supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing.This role ensures the seamless delivery of high-quality guest experiences, from corporate conferences and weddings to social galas and brand activations.The Director will eventually manage a team of event professionals, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and maintain strong client relationships to uphold Rosewood standards of excellence.Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Leadership:- Develop and implement the annual events strategy aligned with Rosewood Rome business goals and hotel positioning;- Lead, mentor, and manage the events team to ensure high performance and professional growth;- Forecast and manage the events budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.- Event Management:- Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail;- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., F&B, IT, Housekeeping, Front Office) and external vendors;- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.- Client & Stakeholder Relations:- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and partners;- Conduct site inspections, client briefings, and post-event evaluations;- Build and maintain long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.- Sales & Marketing Support:- Follow the guidelines and directions provided by the Director of Sales & Marketing, related to Rosewood Rome hotel positioning and sales strategy;- Collaborate with the entire sales team to develop event proposals and presentations;- Contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional strategies for events;- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to enhance the event portfolio.- Collaboration & Culture Building:- Partner closely with department heads to embed Rosewood's culture, vision, and brand standards;- Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring that the events environment reflects Rosewood positioning.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, Marketing, or related field;- Minimum 7/10 years of experience in event mgmt, with at least 3 years in a leadership role;- Proven track record of managing large-scale events (100+ attendees);- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;- Proficiency in event management software and CRM tools;- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.Preferred Attributes- Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end corporate events;- Multilingual capabilities.#J-*****-Ljbffr
