Sr.Design & Construction Quality Mgr, Design & ConstructionWould you like an opportunity to travel and work regionally?The role will be based in either Brazil or Mexico with up to 50% of time travelling either domestically or to other EMEA countries.Are you keen to be part of a team directly responsible for the expansion and upgrade of Amazon buildings across Emerging countries?Are you seeking a fast-paced and growing environment focused on innovating for our customers, along with the opportunity to travel and work regionally?This position is highly visible in Amazon and has high business impact.Amazon opened its doors in **** and strives to be the world's most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online.Key job responsibilitiesOversees project quality management systems during Commissioning and Turnover phases, adapting them to specific needs and risksMonitors and reports KPIs across the regional portfolio of projects, tracking commissioning and turnover statusDevelops and implements detailed execution plans for testing activities, ensuring integration with project schedule and budgetConducts progressive audits of general contractors to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standardsCollaborates with Construction Manager, RME, and Operations to establish turnover philosophy and drive project completionLeads system walkdowns, manages punch list creation/categorization, and verifies completion of critical itemsCoordinates with GES, partner teams (e.g. procurement), and facility operations for technical support and issue resolutionCreates and implements detailed area commissioning plans, ensuring safety procedures are in placeManages the commissioning team lifecycle, including recruitment, training, supervision, and demobilizationOversees interface management between Construction and Commissioning teams, including coordination with Design and RMEEnsures proper documentation collection and handover, including O&M manuals, training materials, as-built, and spares listsCoordinates vendor/supplier representative involvement during commissioning phasePartners with Project Team and PMO to communicate commissioning requirements effectivelyFacilitates daily and weekly progress review meetingsIndependently manages tasks, sets priorities, and makes decisions to achieve goalsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experienceExperience in commissioningExperience with vendor and contractor/subcontractor negotiation and management skills associated with construction and project executionSpeak, write, and read fluently in EnglishExperience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and qualitySpeak, write, and read fluently in SpanishPreferred QualificationsExperience in direct management, mentorship, leadership, and coaching of construction management or commissioning professionalsExperience in project managementExperience with database management systems8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experienceAdditional language is a plus: Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
