Position DetailsJob Title: RESEARCH ASSISTANT IIPosition Number:Job Category: University StaffJob Type: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Non-ExemptCampus: Maywood-Health Sciences CampusDepartment: MICROBIOLOGYLocation Code: MICROBIOLOGY ******A)ResponsibilitiesSupports research projects in the Wolfe lab by performing lab assays and analyses on clinical specimens for the purpose of understanding the urinary microbiome.Carries out experiments and procedures as instructed by the Principal Investigator (PI) or Lab manager, also assists PI, research staff, and students with lab procedures and projects.Works as part of a team to process patient samples collected regularly.Monitors inventory of lab supplies and orders additional supplies when required.Gathers, organizes, enters, and analyzes data; performs literature searches and retrieves literature.Maintains a safe and orderly lab environment.Ensures lab environment complies with safety regulations.Performs related duties as assigned.Must be flexible to work on weekends occasionally.>Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in related field and one to two years of related experience.QualificationsMasters or Bachelors Degree Certificates/Credentials/Licenses N/AProficiency in Microsoft (Computer Skills).No supervisory responsibilities required.No operation of university owned vehicles required.Working ConditionsPhysical Demands: None.Open Date: 10/03/2025Close Date: Position Maximum Salary or Hourly Rate $22/hr Position Minimum Salary or Hourly Rate $20/hr#J-*****-Ljbffr
