Join to apply for the Senior Hardware Engineer role at Datalogic .We are looking for a highly motivated Senior HW Engineer Manager to join the Scan Engine team, a group of professionals competing at a global level on designing miniaturized and highly robust cameras to be integrated on Datalogic products.The Scan Engine team is part of the Central R&D organization that reports to the company CTO.Role Mission Design and validation of electronic circuits and digital systems for automatic identification.Design focus on miniaturized and portable imaging systems based on micro-controller and/or FPGA.In addition to the design activity, the Senior HW Engineer Manager of Scan Engine coordinates the activities of the HW Engineering team, providing guidelines to junior HW engineers and acting as a mentor.A deep knowledge of Digital HW design, including FPGA, board bring-up and PCBA validation are required, together with knowledge about image sensor and imaging system.Support to Datalogic Business Units for the integration of the scan engine into finished products is an integral part of this role.Key Responsibilities Contribute to the definition of requirements, and to the ideation of the HW electronics for implementing the needed functionalities.Coordinate the design of the electronics of the scan engine, by splitting the workload among team members and acting as an active design engineer carrying out activities such as modeling and simulations of electronic circuits, releasing schematics, testing and validating boards.Contribute to the generation of plans to verify the performance and the functionality of the electronics and of the product and of its sub-systems.Verify and demonstrate the compliance of sub-systems and of the whole system to design specifications.Generate technical reports related to the project, contribute to preparation of the Technical Review inside the framework of the New Product Development process.Collaborate and mentor team members making them grow from the technical standpoint.Develop and promote internal standards for increasing efficiency and quality of the design.Manage all technical risks and provide solutions for mitigating them to ensure to reach the project goals in terms of performance, schedule and cost.Find innovative solutions and submit invention disclosure to protect innovation.Support the R&D director of the unit by estimating design effort and delivery time.Manage the topics related to the maintenance of the product during its entire product lifecycle.Stay updated about technology progresses in the field of system engineering, electronics and opto-mechanical systems.Stay updated about competitor products and intellectual property (patents).Requirements Master degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.Knowledge in using electrical CAD, schematic entry and simulation tools for HW design (Siemens Mentor Expedition preferred).Solid knowledge in Digital Hardware related to imaging system design, based on image sensors, microcontrollers and FPGA.Practical experience in EMC Troubleshooting; good capability to fix the problems with efficiency and rapidity.At least 6 years of experience in product development, with a relevant experience on HW engineering for a variety of imaging systems.Languages: Italian; English fluent.High level of leadership, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills; active participation tothe project, and commitment to quality and time.Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing #J-*****-Ljbffr
