Service Engineer / Technician – Electrical MechanicalDo you enjoy the practical hands-on elements of mechanical and electrical engineering and have a desire to work on industry-leading, highly complex equipment?Why This Company?This leading industrial automation manufacturer has grown 20% over the past 12 months and, in line with the acquisition of new customers and market demand for their equipment, they have ambitious plans to expand their support function across Europe.Operating in rapidly expanding markets such as pharmaceuticals and recognised for offering some of the industry's most advanced equipment, they pride themselves on their detailed attention to customer needs and dedication to the highest standards of performance and quality.Rewards & Benefits€40K - €50K Basic Salary (dependent on experience)€600 Vacation BonusProductivity Bonus€*****K Overtime (paid at 1.5x)Company Car (with private use allowed)Travel ExpensesAll local requirements – Pension, Medical, Holidays etcAbout The RoleAs a Mechanical Electrical Service Engineer / Service Technician you will work from a home office and be responsible for :Supporting customers across Italy with a focus on areas such as Milan, Pisa, Rome, Frosinone, and Bari.Operating in a mixed mechanical and electrical role.The majority of issues that occur are of a mechanical nature (80%); however, technicians are competent electrically to work on 400V systems.Supporting new system commissioning including the hardware configuration and online connection of Siemens Controllers and the setting of the parameters on Danfoss frequency converters and Schneider DC motors.Dealing with automation issues including identifying and resolving issues with HMIs.Troubleshooting PLC code and making adjustments to ensure systems are functioning correctly.Mechanical duties which include changing gears, sprockets, bearings, etc.Attending a low number of customer calls as each case can be extremely complicated and time consuming.Completing preventative maintenance and installation work which is often booked 2–3 months in advance, whilst also reacting to more pressing breakdowns and repairs.Working with the engineering planner to coordinate activities and movements.Conducting routine service and calibration work, alongside more reactive maintenance, including fault finding, problem resolution and repair.Completing service visit reports.Supporting customers outside of Italy should an emergency occur requiring your support.About YouThe successful candidate will possess at least 2+ years of service engineering / technician experience, gained working on complex equipment, which could include but is not limited to Industrial Automation, Robotics, Scientific Equipment, Food Processing, Logistics Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Metalworking Equipment, Robotic Welding, Robotic Spraying, Medical, Biomedical, Scientific or other high-value complex equipment.Past experience working on Siemens PLCs, Danfoss Frequency Converters, Schneider DC Motors and ABB Pluto Safety PLCs would be highly advantageous.Candidates must speak advanced level English, a good level of Italian, and be multiskilled across mechanical and electrical.You must be comfortable with travel and nights away when needed.An education or qualifications to work on 400V systems is required, as is a logical and methodical approach to finding fault and the ability to read electrical schematics.A valid local driving license is essential, as is the right to work in Italy.My client doesn't offer sponsorship.Interested in this role?Here's what happens next...Click the apply button to send us your CV.If we think you're a great fit for this role, we'll be in touch in the next couple of days.Thank you for taking the time to read about this opportunity.We look forward to hearing from you,Team Mase.Location: Based in Italy – supporting customers across the Milan, Pisa, Rome, Frosinone and Bari areas#J-*****-Ljbffr
