Join to apply for theTechnology Design & Innovation Managerrole atNEXTCHEMOverviewHyDep, part of NextChem Group, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Technology Design & Innovation Manager to join our team in Milan or Codogno - Italy.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of cutting-edge technologies aimed at advancing the energy transition agenda.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the realm of sustainable technology, we encourage you to apply.About HyDepHyDep is highly specialized in the design, testing and certification of water electrolysis systems.The company is set to grow, confirming its position on the market as engineering services and small-scale electrolyzers provider and developing large-scale innovative electrolysis technology for the Group.The ChallengeThe Technology Design & Innovation function, led by the CTO, is responsible for ensuring the development of innovative cells, electrolytic stacks and any other relevant technologies in the green hydrogen domain, from the concept to the certification of the performance prior to their industrialization.In addition, it is responsible for performing diagnosis and incremental innovation activities throughout the product lifecycle.Finally, the same Function is also responsible for identifying and qualifying innovative solutions and materials to be used in the novel generation of electrolyzers developed by HyDep.It involves a permanent role in Codogno/ Milano Italy.Key ResponsibilitiesConceive and/or adopt new electrolysis designs in collaboration with Technology Engineering, Projects, and Product Management functions;Test and qualify new components and materials in coordination with Group RPlan and execute incremental innovation tasks for the evolution of existing electrolysis stacks;Perform failure diagnostics and integrate findings into development processes;Analyze data from operating electrolyzers to recommend improvements in operation and maintenance;Collaborate with IP and Legal functions to identify patentable solutions and manage the patenting process, including market and freedom-to-operate analysis;Scout and report on emerging technologies relevant to HyDep, Nextchem, and/or Maire.The CandidateMaster's degree in engineering or equivalent techno-scientific discipline.10+ years of experience in the Energy Transition industry, with a strong focus on Hydrogen Technologies, especially electrolysis and fuel cell development at cell, stack, and system level for medium to large-scale industrial applications.Proven track record in developing innovative electrolysis and fuel cell solutions, from proof of concept to full-scale prototype validation.Publications in electrochemistry and related technology innovations, and submitted/secured patents in electrolysis and/or fuel cells are a plus.Strong network within the hydrogen sector, especially with leading stack component suppliers, and a solid industry reputation.In-depth knowledge of EU energy transition policies and regulatory frameworks (RED, nEHS, EU ETS, CBAM, GHG quota systems), with general understanding at the international level.Ability to thrive in fast-changing environments, anticipate industry trends, and adapt technology programs to maintain leadership.The RewardNEXTCHEM offers a rewarding and challenging job with opportunities for personal input.The organization is 100% internationally focused, has the ambition to expand and offers individual possibilities to learn and develop in a true business environment.There is an open and very pleasant atmosphere with plenty of room for discussion with highly committed fellow professionals.Our people are the players and enablers of the transformation taking place.Therefore, investing in protecting their health and safety and providing initiatives to promote their professional growth, recognizing merit, making the most of everyone's potential, and guaranteeing equal opportunities are our priority objectives.NextChem:Continuously invest in the development and growth of our people as they are our main asset and allow us to achieve the great results we are known for around the world;Constantly challenge our path to market leadership by keeping open minds;Actively work to ensure that each of our employees feels valued for their personal qualities and skills, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, social background, or physical characteristics.Terms and conditions of employment as well as fringe benefits are above market standards.Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at NEXTCHEM by 2x#J-*****-Ljbffr
