Senior Product Manager – Avionics Systems At D-Orbit, we are pioneering the future of space logistics and transportation.Established in ****, we help businesses unlock the full potential of the final frontier—profitably and sustainably.As a member of our team, you'll work with highly skilled individuals and contribute to innovative solutions that push the boundaries of space technology.Join us to take your ambition to new heights.We are looking for a Senior Product Manager – Avionics Systems to join our Technology team.You will report to the Head of R&D Programs and work with the Head of Technology to define product strategy, oversee execution, and ensure performance, quality, and cost objectives are met.Key Responsibilities Deliver avionics products on time, on budget, and with quality.Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for avionics systems.Align product development with company objectives and customer requirements.Identify and mitigate risks related to product development and deployment.Drive industrialization of avionics products, including production testing equipment definition.Manage the full product lifecycle, including upgrades, obsolescence planning, and end-of-life strategies.Define cost targets and ensure achievement through design-to-cost and supplier nominations.Monitor and control overall product cost and development budget.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure compliance and performance.Act as the primary interface between teams and stakeholders, delegating tasks while maintaining accountability.Qualifications Proven experience in product development, industrialization, and product lifecycle management.Proven experience in cost and budget management and design-for-excellence methodologies.Understanding of avionics systems, aerospace and/or complex electromechanical products is a plus.Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and negotiation skills.Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.Leadership skills to influence and align diverse teams.Preferred Qualifications Experience managing complex hardware/software integrated products.Track record of delivering products in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.Previous involvement in cross-functional teams and supplier negotiations.Hiring Process Application review: We only contact candidates who closely match our criteria.First chat: Initial meeting with the people team.Technical interviews: One or two technical interviews focused on your skills and approach.Offer: We carefully consider candidates before sending an offer.Location & Details Fino Mornasco, Lombardy, Italy.Full-time.Mid-Senior level.Legal and Eligibility THIS IS NOT A FULL REMOTE JOB.You need a VISA to work in Italy.At this time, we consider applicants who already have the legal right to work in the country where the role is advertised.Some activities must be carried out in our facilities.D-Orbit is committed to diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity.#J-*****-Ljbffr
