They are used in a wide range of industries including CAD/CAM/CAE and AM, scanning and metrology, medical, dental, BIM, construction, mining, and other large capital asset industries.Customers include TRUMPF, Siemens, Amada, Porsche, Honda, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, CLAAS, Samsung, Mitutoyo, Komatsu, and Hexagon.To strengthen our team, we are looking for aMathematical Software Developerfor our Bologna office.The positionWe are a team of software developers working on algorithms for processing 3D geometries. We use sophisticated mathematical concepts, 3D data structures and algorithms as well as modern development tools.After an initial training period, you will be involved in the development of advanced geometric algorithms in the NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines) field of application.Your responsibilitiesCurve-curve intersection and Surface-surface intersectionCurve and surface editingCurve and surface offsettingSurface skinningCurve and surface fillet and chamferFeature detectionYour profileStrong mathematical backgroundExperience in numerical methodsExperience of geometric algorithmsKnowledge of NURBSSelf-motivated, flexible team playerGood knowledge of the English languageWhat you can expect from usAt devDept you will find a friendly working atmosphere in a young and international team.
