239 rooms, vibrant design, and dynamic spaces that welcome coworking and socializing, the hotel marks the Marriott-Tribute Portfolio's entry into Milan, Italy's financial and design capital.Our mission is to bring together out-of-the-ordinary properties, offer our guests memorable experiences in true Italian style, give our employees stimulating places to work and grow professionally, and achieve our shareholders' financial goals.We are currently recruiting talented and passionate people ready to make the difference and step above the crowd.OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLE The Director of MICE we are looking for is 100% sales oriented.Extremely organized, able to set personal high standards and incredibly motivated to outperform.· He/she is very well structured, results oriented with excellent computer skills.He/she is aware that the base of sales results are also a consequence of a maniacal, constant and timely saving of contacts, information and customer data.· He/she is responsible to drive MICE business to IHC hotels working in strong synergy with the proactive sales team.He/she is responsible to implement strategic sales activities and plans, in order to achieve and exceed revenue targets and market customer share.· Personally, accountable for selected key accounts/feeder markets and revenue targets.· Excellent knowledge and outstanding track record of incremental success in the Italian Market both MICE Agencies and Corporate are mandatory.· He/She reports to the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing.Location base: Milano Travelling: required 60%.MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Listed below are the mandatory requirements recognized as minimum level to be short listed for this role.Ø A minimum of 8 years in a sales position within MICE segment, including: o A minimum of 6 years in a proactive MICE sales role.o A minimum of 2 years in a reactive MICE sales role.o A minimum of 2 years in an international hotel group (ideally Hilton, Starwood, Marriott) o A minimum of 2 years in a MICE sales position for luxury hotels o A minimum of 2 years in a cluster environment Ø Proven track record of deep knowledge of the following markets: Italy + at least one of the following: UK, Switzerland, France, Nordic Countries.Ø Highly computer literate with excellent presentation skills (including powerpoint), confident use of all office tools (including excel).Ø Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken) Ø Fluent in English (written and spoken) Ø Strong analytical and strategic mindset as well as easy approach on weekly reporting system Ø Confident use of CRM Ø Must be EU Citizen or in possession of Italian work visa.Please note that candidates not matching these mandatory requirements will not be short listed and will not receive a reply on the application due to the high number of applicants.CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Ø Actively participate to the development and delivery of IHC Sales Plan.Ø Prepare, present and execute the Annual Sales Action Plan for the assigned regions.Ø Constantly monitor, analyse and reports sales results.Ø Pro-actively plans and execute weekly sales appointments, sales promotion, and follow ups, BBOBs in order to achieve and exceed the revenue targets.Ø Constantly and timely updates CRM software with sales calls, account information, tasks, projects etc.Ø Provide guidance to sales managers.Ø Develop key account plans, detailing objectives, timescales and sales methods to support the defined sales strategy.Ø Accurately identifies the level of influence and decision-making power of contacts in the customer organization and uses these to secure business.Ø Support the MICE Department with the conversion of new and repeat enquiries.Ø Reviews customer base to determine new opportunities for account penetration.Ø Contributes ideas to improve the products and services offered.Ø Attends sales trips and tradeshow nationally and internationally in accordance with the Sales Trips Plan.PERSONALITY AND SKILLS These are the personal skills, qualities and attributes you will need to demonstrate in order to carry out your job effectively.Ø Sets high personal performance standards.Ø Plans organizes and uses a systematic approach to get things done.Ø Manages time and resources effectively.Ø Prioritizes actions and manages tasks through to completion.Ø Actively seeks opportunities to develop and learn from experience.Ø Communicates openly and clearly both verbally and in writing.Ø Pitches information at the appropriate level.Ø Listens to the needs of others before contributing.Ø Develops positive working relationships at all levels.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Listed below are the requirements that (on top of the mandatory requirements) will be considered as an advantage: Ø Bachelors or Masters Degree in one of the following: Hotel Management, Tourism, Marketing Philosophy, Psychology studies.Ø Social Media passionate Ø Previous experience in hotel operations
