About BonfiglioliBonfiglioli is a worldwide designer, manufacturer and distributor of a complete range of gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes and inverters, which satisfy the most challenging and demanding needs in industrial automation, mobile machinery and renewable energy.Established in ****, Bonfiglioli operates worldwide in 20 countries and 18 production facilities, with a wide network comprising 550 distributors and over ***** employees.Excellence, innovation and sustainability are the drivers behind our growth as a company and team.We are looking for an R&D Engineer with a focus on calculation to join our team based in Bologna.MISSIONThe Calculation Specialist is responsible for the development of calculation models for transmission simulation, structural, thermal and fluid dynamics analysis related to products designed by of R&D platforms with the aim to define the correct sizing of components in accordance with customer technical requirements.MAIN RESPONSABILITIESAnalytical calculation for the main components of gearboxes (gears, bearings, shafts) according to standard regulations (ISO, AGMA, DIN, Atex) to define the correct sizing of componentsFinite element Analysis of critical components (flange or gearbox housing) with the aim to predict how a product react to real physical effects (es: forces, vibration, heat, fluid flow,..)Correlation between analytical calculation results and testing resultsSupport and work in team with Design Platforms in order to define the best compromise between design solution and performance reliability, through advanced calculationCollaboration with Application Engineer for optimizations of Customer gearboxesDevelopment of specific software for the gearbox performance calculation (typically KISSsoft/KISSsys), according to bill of material and product configuratorCalculation of technical data for Sales catalogueDefinition of internal standard for calculation procedure and instruction for testing executionEvaluate and monitor norms evolution and new calculation methodologiesREQUIREMENTSMaster's degree in Mechanical EngineeringKnowledge of Mechanical Calculation and NX SimulationKnowledge of Standard Regulations (ISO, AGMA, DIN, Atex)Knowledge of Teamcenter (nice to have)Excellent communication and problem solving skillsProficiency in English, both written and spokenBonfiglioli is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.We believe that the uniqueness of each individual strengthens our teams and drives innovation.Our inclusive culture supports personal growth and contributes to our collective success.
