Overview
Join Expedia Group's Experimentation Platform to enable scalable, reliable experimentation across partners and products. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support features within platform services, translating requirements into maintainable code and APIs. You'll work with cross-functional teams to assess dependencies, risks, and trade-offs while ensuring quality through tooling, tests, and observability. This role offers impact on product discovery, data-driven decisions, and the company's mission to help travelers explore the world with confidence. You'll collaborate with engineers, PMs, analysts, and data scientists to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Responsabilità
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain features in platform services
- Translate product and technical requirements into clear APIs, data changes, tests, and checks
- Participate in design discussions, assess dependencies, risks, and trade-offs with guidance
- Build reliable automated tests and improve test coverage to reduce risk
- Instrument changes with logs, metrics, traces, and alerts; use observability tools for validation
- Contribute to on-call or support rotations and resolve incidents with guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to clarify use cases and plan incremental deliveries
- Use AI-assisted development tools as a co-pilot while ensuring output is secure and reviewed
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Python)
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, modular design, testing, debugging, and version control
- Experience with cloud-based services, APIs, data modeling, deployment, and production support
- Ability to write clear, maintainable code and explain implementation decisions
- Strong collaboration, questions, feedback, and communication skills
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating generated outputs
- Identify and propose improvements for technical debt and reliability
