OverviewOur Client is well-established European private equity investment firm with a strong mid-market focus and an active presence across Southern and Western Europe. The platform manages several billion euros in assets and is known for its hands-on investment approach, partnering closely with management teams to drive operational improvement, international expansion, and value creation.The firm has a long track record of investing in resilient businesses across industrials, business services, consumer, and niche technology segments. With sustained deployment activity and portfolio growth in Italy, the team is looking to strengthen its Milan office with the addition of an Associate.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the full investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, screening, execution, and portfolio monitoringBuild and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, operating, and scenario analysesConduct commercial, financial, and strategic due diligence in coordination with advisors and internal teamsPrepare investment memoranda, valuation materials, and presentations for investment committee discussionsSupport portfolio companies on strategic initiatives, performance analysis, and add-on acquisitionsContribute to sector research and market mapping across Italy and broader European marketsCandidate Profile2–4 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or transaction advisoryStrong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilitiesFluency in Italian and English is required, plus fluency in at least one additional European languageEuropean deal exposure or cross-border transaction experience is considered a strong advantageSolid understanding of European mid-market dynamics and private equity value creation leversHighly motivated, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating in a lean, high-responsibility investment teamWhat's on OfferAssociate-level role within a highly regarded European private equity platformMilan-based position with exposure to international investments and cross-border transactionsDirect interaction with senior investment professionals and portfolio company managementCompetitive compensation aligned with top-tier European private equity standardsClear long-term development path within a growing and entrepreneurial investment environment
