Overview

In this role you will lead HSE across projects to ensure safe operations, protect health, and minimize environmental impact. You will drive the HSE strategy from proposal to completion and cultivate a strong safety culture with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors. You will coordinate compliance with laws, international standards, and client requirements while delivering continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to influence project safety performance at scale within Prysmian.

Responsabilità

  • Plan, implement, and supervise all HSE activities across projects aligned with scope, procedures, laws, and standards
  • Support company-wide HSE initiatives including bid prep, training, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Lead project teams and suppliers to promote a strong safety culture
  • Define and implement the project HSE management strategy from tender through completion
  • Provide expert HSE support to functions and project teams in client discussions
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and Prysmian HSE policies for suppliers/subcontractors
  • Coordinate with manufacturing HSE teams to align with policies and project needs
  • Ensure vessel operations comply with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL and maritime regs
  • Support risk management with risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP
  • Lead accident investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and drive CAPAs
  • Conduct internal and external HSE audits during prequalification, tender, and project execution
  • Develop and deliver project-specific HSE training and behavioral safety initiatives
  • Maintain and improve the Company HSE Management System per corporate guidelines
  • Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting of HSE performance indicators

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Master in mechanical/ chemical /safety / environment engineering
  • Up to 5/7 years of HSE experience with onshore/offshore exposure
  • ISO 45001 and ISO14001 knowledge with lead auditor certification
  • Incident investigation techniques (TapRoot/ Kelvin Top Set preferred)
  • Knowledge of Italian and UK HSE legislation (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of HSE risk assessment techniques (ISO31000 nice to have)
