Overview

In this role you lead Deel's tax accounting and reporting to support growth and IPO readiness. You bridge global tax strategy and execution, ensuring accurate disclosures and SOX-aligned controls in financial statements and the S-1. You collaborate with senior leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to operationalize tax strategies across multiple jurisdictions. You drive high-quality tax reporting and continuous improvements in controls and processes.

Responsabilità

  • Own and ensure accuracy of tax disclosures for financial reports, including S-1 filing
  • Translate high-level tax strategy into compliant financial reporting
  • Manage tax provisions, ETR calculations, and related ASC 740 / IAS 12 disclosures
  • Oversee global income tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ensure accuracy of indirect tax reporting (VAT, GST, Withholding Tax)
  • Maintain reconciliations of tax accounts and deferred tax positions
  • Lead design and operation of SOX-compliant tax accounting controls
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and internal audit to document and test control frameworks
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulators to align on issues and resolutions
  • Monitor tax law changes and assess impacts on IPO reporting and long-term positions

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (or equivalent such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA) strongly preferred; MBA or JD a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in multinational settings and/or Big4
  • Proven experience in tax accounting for public companies or IPO processes
  • Deep expertise in ASC 740 / IAS 12 and tax provisions
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP or IFRS across jurisdictions
  • Experience establishing and operating SOX-aligned processes and controls
  • Exceptional communicator able to translate complex tax concepts for diverse teams
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Advanced Excel and ERP/tax software skills; familiarity with OneSource, GoSystem, SAP or similar
