Within the Engineering Area of Cyber Security, Mission Critical Communications organizational unit, PMR Radio & TETRA Access Network Engineering, we are looking for a hardware designer engineer for the development of analog and digital boards for Professional Telecom equipment for the Florence (Campi Bisenzio) office.

The person will carry out the following activities:

• Starting from the analysis of requirements, write project specifications and create complex HW boards and assemblies;
• Follow the entire project life cycle, design, prototype creation, board testing, hardware integration with the target system, support for Qualification and Validation tests if foreseen;
• Follow and guide PCB design by collaborating with colleagues from electronic CAD;
• Follow the Product Industrialization phases by supporting the departments and stakeholders responsible for these activities;
• Produce Project Documentation up to the generation of the Technical Data Package;
• Design and build equipment and related wiring and FW used in the development laboratory for integration and debugging of HW boards.

Educational qualification

Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering / Telecommunications

Seniority

• Experience: Senior - 7/10 years of experience gained in similar fields
• Preferential title: work experience in contexts of development and/or repair of radio or telecommunications equipment.

Technical knowledge and skills

• Knowledge and experience in the design / repair of electronic boards
• Excellent manual skills and experience in reworking SMT electronic components.
• Excellent manual skills and experience in creating prototype wiring
• Generic knowledge of schematic / simulation tools
• Knowledge of aspects related to digital boards with high-speed buses, in particular:
• Signal integrity
• Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues
• Familiarity with the main measuring instruments: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic state analyzer
• Basic knowledge of FW development (e.g. PIC, microcontrollers, PLC etc...)

• Willingness to deal with topics even outside one's specific domain of competence

Language skills

- Fair knowledge of the English language (B1/B2)
