Hays Italy, part of the multinational Hays group, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, which offers consulting services in the Information Technology sector with the aim of contributing to the success and technological progress of individuals and companies, is looking for two (#2) Expediting Officer s ( C1 English mandatory) The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods & documentation in alignment with project schedules & technical requirements Key responsibilities Monitor the progress of deliverables & manufacturing activities, including those of subcontractors , identifying potential delays or issues affecting purchase order ( PO ) timelines Proactively engage with suppliers to resolve critical issues & ensure adherence to delivery schedules Collaborate with suppliers to propose & implement solutions when challenges arise that may impact delivery Coordinate with the project team to define corrective actions aimed at mitigating risks to delivery dates Interface with the Project Engineer to resolve outstanding technical matters that may hinder supplier performance Establish revised schedules & delivery dates in cases of non - compliance or delays Implement on - site expediting activities at supplier or subcontractor facilities when necessary to recover schedule slippages Maintain & regularly update the Material Status Report for assigned scopes Requirements At least 5 years of experience in procurement expediting within industrial or engineering sectors Full professional proficiency in English – both written & spoken Strong understanding of supply chain processes & project-based procurement Ability to monitor & manage supplier performance , including subcontractors Problem - solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying & resolving delivery issues Field of the project: engineering , construction , energy & infrastructure together Location: on - site in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan) Freelancers are highly welcomed too Candidates of any gender identity , after reviewing the mandatory privacy notice available at are kindly requested to submit their CV in PDF format, quoting the reference number (Ref. 950175).
