Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a safety professional, highly motivated and willing to take a step further in his career by joining our team. Exciting and challenging opportunity working in an American multinational chemical company. The candidate will be part of a team of people with whom they will collaborate on updating and implementing safety and environmental for various Company activities.

He/she will report to the Safety and Environment Manager. The successful candidate will actively participate in the development of the safety team, helping with possible implementations/system changes, transition of activities and collaborate in the continuous process improvement.

This position is located in Trecate (NO), Italy.

What will you be doing?

Monitor and interpret national and international regulations (REACH, CLP, SDS, BPR, PIC, POPs, RoHS, Dual Use, Drug & Explosives Precursors), translating regulatory requirements into operational practices.

Review and verify the compliance of technical documentation and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), including classification and labeling.

Ensure product compliance and support regulatory obligations, including mandatory notifications and submissions.

Contribute to chemical risk assessments, particularly with regard to exposure scenarios, and support the definition of preventive and protective measures.

Provide regulatory support to R&D, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain by assessing the compliance of raw materials, suppliers, and product or process changes.

Support emergency management activities in a Seveso establishment subject to major accident hazard regulations (Legislative Decree 105/2015).

Support emergency preparedness and response activities within a Chemical Industrial Site, including coordination with the External Emergency Plan.

Identify accident scenarios associated with the use and handling of hazardous substances.

Contribute to major accident risk assessments using methodologies such as HAZOP, What-If Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and other recognized techniques.

Maintain and continuously update the Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with Legislative Decree 105/2015.

Liaise with competent authorities, supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance-related requests.

Deliver internal training on regulatory requirements and promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Monitor regulatory developments and contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes.

Who are You?

Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Environmental Science, or a related field).

At least 5 years of professional experience in a Seveso establishment subject to major accident hazard regulations (Legislative Decree 105/2015).

Strong knowledge of chemical regulations, including REACH, CLP, and other relevant legislation.

Solid understanding of chemistry and toxicology.
