Alba, Italy. Senior Food Safety & Quality Engineering Managerwill join theIndustrial & Supply Chain Food Safety & Quality Departmentand be part of the Ferrero Engineering Leadership Team, based inAlba.
Thanks to this opportunity, you will embed into theFerrero Engineering Leadership Teamand drive impactful changes to further develop theHygienic Design Culturewithin the Ferrero Group, supporting Ferrero's strong commitment toFood Safety & Quality. Main ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight, support, and advicerelated to all Ferrero Engineering activities concerning Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) matters for the Ferrero Group.
Ensure FSQ requirements are integrated into Ferrero Engineering standards and guidelines , andtrain and developFSQ and Engineering teams on FSQ requirements and Hygienic Design concepts. Define the governancethroughout the life cycle of Ferrero Engineering projects to ensure FSQ requirements are met;support project managersfrom design to hand-over for large projects.
Assist project engineersin ensuring compliance of new machines with industry Hygienic Design and internal FSQ requirements; support factories in identifying Hygienic Design gaps and coaching teams to resolve them. Formalize FSQ requirements on Hygienic Designfor equipment and buildings;update Ferrero Engineering documentsto include these requirements.
Maintain an internal databaseon international FSQ engineering and Hygienic Design standards;support procedures for FSQ requirementsfor Equipment Suppliers for FAT and SAT, and assist in these tests. Support risk assessmentsand providefinal validation of machines , collaborating with Engineering and Industrial functions on mitigation activities; ensure FSQ/Hygienic Design requirements do not conflict with Health & Safety requirements.
Raise awarenessof FSQ and Hygienic Design concepts across the Ferrero Engineering department; train and coach employees and managers, participate in FSQ non-conformities investigations related to machines with hygienic design gaps. Interact with external equipment suppliersto promote hygienic design, develop guidance, and participate in relevant external bodies and working groups related to Hygienic Design.
Who we are
looking forYou have aneducational background with a Master's Degreein a relevant field such asFood Process Engineering ,Food Safety & Quality , etc. You havemore than 15 years of experiencein theFood Industry , with strong knowledge of food processing technologies, Hygienic Design, and Food Safety & Quality, demonstrated in global roles inlarge international FMCG. You possessstrong technical knowledge , leadership, andcommunication skills , plus experience with quality management systems, food safety regulations, and problem-solving.
You arepassionate about sharing technical knowledge and coaching cross-functional teams , promotingHygienic Design CultureandFood Safety & Quality continuous improvement. Beyond being asubject matter expert , you candevelop relationships with internal and external stakeholdersand interact with different hierarchical levels. How to be successful in the role and at FerreroBe consumer and product centric, with dedication to crafting brilliant results for consumers around the world.
