Thanks to the extensive know-how of nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon capture, fuels, chemicals, and polymers, we offer innovative solutions and processes to fully enable the energy transition.About the roleThe candidate will support the "Head of Circular Economy" in the Engineering & Projects activities associated with the initiatives in the "Circular Economy".The candidate will actively contribute to expanding the business development pipeline by generating new project opportunities with potential clients. Additionally, the candidate will assist in preparing, following up and securing the acquisition of new contracts for Next Chem.Key Activities & Responsibilities:Develop Process Design activities during proposal and project execution phase in compliance with time, quality and budget requirementsDesign, develop and implement all process design activities relevant to the technologies in the portfolioCarry out process analysis and simulations to evaluate the efficiency of the processesPrepare Heat and Material BalanceDevelop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P& ID).Equipment sizing and process data sheet compilationDefinition and sizing of linesPSV, Control Valves calculation and sizingLogical definition and control loopsHaz Op, Haz Id supportPrepare Process Duty Specifications for RFQ and provide support for the technical process complianceProvide support to engineering disciplines in the development of detailed design.Carry out feasibility studiesAssist with the supervision of new plant and machinery installation, as well as start-up operations.Collect and analyze data to evaluate process performanceKnowledge of international best practices and engineering standardsPersonal Attributes:Knowledge & Qualifications:Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, 5-7 years of experience in similar roles with aptitude for learning chemical processes and production activitiesKnowledge of production processes, production methods and technologiesProficiency in process simulation software (ASPEN, HYSYS, etc.)Knowledge of Auto CAD basic featuresExcellent use of MS Office system (especially MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point)Experience:Proven professional experience in the chemical, petrochemical, refining or fuel sectors, with involvement or exposure to sustainability initiatives (i.e. strategic business repositioning, access to new sustainable technologies) or special projects concerning circular economy or energy transition.Proven experience developing Feasibility, process Design Packages, Basic Design Packages, FEED and EPC ProjectsSkills and Abilities:Fluent EnglishExcellent IT and analytical skillsAttitude to learn new technologiesAttitude for self-management for project development and completionAnalysis and problem-solving skillsFlexibility and adaptabilityTeam-oriented, self-motivated, with a focus on timely performance and problem resolutionStrong communications and interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel in Italy and abroad.
