Cisco High Touch Engineer (Red Badge) Location: Milan, ItalySector: Public Sector | Pubblica AmministrazioneEngagement: Long-term, Embedded RoleThe OpportunityWe are seeking a senior Cisco High Touch Engineer (Red Badge) to support mission-critical networks within the Italian Public Sector , working closely with central government bodies, ministries, and public institutions.This is a high-impact, trusted-advisor role embedded directly within the customer environment, operating at the highest tier of Cisco engineering excellence. You will work alongside Cisco Sales, CX, and Engineering teams while becoming a core extension of the customer's IT organization.Your RoleAct as the primary technical authority for complex, business-critical network environmentsProvide proactive and reactive high-touch engineering supportLead SEV-1 / SEV-2 incidents and resolve chronic, large-scale network issuesInfluence network architecture, upgrades, and long-term optimizationBuild strong relationships with customer engineers, architects, and leadershipDrive escalations with Cisco TAC and global engineering teamsTechnical ExpertiseDeep hands-on experience with enterprise or service provider IP networksStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, Qo S, IPv6Cisco Routing & Switching ( IOS-XE, IOS-XR, Catalyst, Nexus, WAN )Exposure to automation and modern operations (Python, Ansible, APIs – preferred)Experience & Certifications~7–15+ years in senior network engineering, consulting, or high-level support roles~ Proven experience supporting large, complex, mission-critical networks~ CCNP required , CCIE strongly preferredWhy This RoleOperate at the highest technical tier within Cisco's ecosystemAct as a trusted advisor , not just a support engineerInfluence the stability, resilience, and future direction of critical public-sector networksBacked by Cisco and delivered through Acuative , a trusted Cisco CX partnerThis is a role for engineers who want to shape outcomes, not just fix incidents.
