Our client is a leading European renewable energy developer and operator, with a strong track record in originating, developing, and managing large-scale energy projects across wind, solar, and emerging technologies such as battery storage, hydrogen, and P2 X. Backed by a well-established international group, the company combines the agility of a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with the stability and resources of a major industry player. With operations spanning multiple markets and a growing presence in Italy, they are committed to driving the energy transition through innovative, sustainable, and commercially sound solutions.They are looking for a Senior Origination Manager to drive project development in Italy. This strategic role reports to the Country Manager and oversees a small team, including a Junior Business Analyst and a Land Scout & Acquisition Specialist.The position focuses on identifying, structuring, and securing viable business opportunities, starting from the most critical asset: land. You will play a key role in shaping origination strategy and ensuring projects deliver strong value propositions for all stakeholders.Responsibilities include:Scouting new opportunities for onshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen, and biogas projects in collaboration with technical teamsCoordinating site screening and analysis to identify suitable areas and develop project conceptsStructuring commercial and financial elements to ensure competitive and sustainable projectsLeading negotiations with landowners to secure land agreementsMonitoring market trends, regulatory changes, and financial developments to inform strategyManaging relationships with landowners and stakeholders until handover to the permitting teamRepresenting the company at industry events, conferences, and agricultural fairsSupporting marketing and communication activities in Italy and expanding the business networkProfile requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in origination or business development within the onshore renewable sector in ItalyStrong understanding of the renewable energy development process and risk mitigation strategiesExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approachAnalytical and organizational mindset, flexible and methodicalFluent in Italian and EnglishUniversity degree in Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related fieldWillingness to travel frequently within Italy and occasionally to headquarters abroadKnowledge of site assessment, regulatory frameworks (including " Aree Idonee"), and financial modelingExperience in land acquisition negotiations is an advantageIf you have a proven track record in renewable energy origination and want to contribute to accelerating the energy transition, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and help shape the future of clean energy.
