Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Area, we are looking for a Software Developer to start a career in cyber product development for our Genoa / Rome Laurentina / Chieti Scalo / Turin offices.

Below is a list of the main activities foreseen for the role:

  • Develop software components for cybersecurity products under supervision
  • Implement RESTful APIs and backend services according to provided specifications
  • Develop frontend components for user interfaces
  • Write unit tests and integration tests for the developed code
  • Participate in code reviews to learn best practices
  • Produce basic technical documentation (API docs, README)
  • Support bug fixing and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with the team following Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Learn security frameworks and secure coding best practices

Education

Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Seniority

Junior (up to 2 years of software development experience, or recent graduate with significant projects)

Technical knowledge and skills:

Languages and Frameworks (mandatory - at least one):

  • Backend languages: Python (Flask/FastAPI basics) or Java (Spring Boot basics)
  • Databases: PostgreSQL and SQL, NoSQL basics
  • Version control: Git
  • Containerization: Docker basics

Cybersecurity knowledge:

  • Interest in cybersecurity and security systems
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10
  • Secure coding practices basics
  • Network protocols basics (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS)

Preferred skills:

  • Frontend Development: JavaScript/TypeScript with React basics
  • Python scripting and automation
  • REST API development
  • Linux/Unix basics
  • Message brokers basics (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
