Overview
As Senior Engineering Manager for the Consumer domain, you set the technical and organizational direction across three teams to empower millions of users in payments, money management, and credit access. You lead a team of engineering managers and staff engineers, fostering technical excellence and accountability at scale. You translate product goals into a clear technical roadmap, coordinating across domains and guiding architectural decisions. You report progress to senior leadership and ensure reliable delivery in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Responsabilità
- Lead and grow the Consumer domain with multiple teams and reporting managers, fostering technical excellence and accountability
- Mentor and develop engineering managers, calibrate performance, and identify growth opportunities
- Define and execute a cross-team technical roadmap aligned with product and business goals
- Collaborate with Product leadership and peers to set engineering standards and priorities
- Communicate domain progress, risks, and blockers to senior leadership in business terms
- Provide architectural guidance across PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Datadog, and related tech
- Facilitate architectural discussions and ensure sound technical decisions across the domain
Requisiti fondamentali
- 8+ years in backend engineering
- 4+ years in people management of engineers and managers
- Strong leadership, empathy, and coaching skills
- Experience with distributed systems and API design
- Delivery ownership at scale using Agile methodologies
- Fluency in English and ability to engage with engineers and senior stakeholders
- Genuine interest in fintech and regulated environments
