Purpose of the RoleBe a technical champion of TLC within the team.Supervise the TLC engineering activities related for the assigned projects.Develop technical alternative solutions guaranteeing high quality standards and profitability increase.Primary responsibilities and dutiesCheck or approve the main deliverables relevant to TLC issued by Instrumentation discipline: design criteria, technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, inspection data sheets, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.Support the Chief Instrumentation Engineers of the various project in reviewing Vendor documentation relevant to TLC Packages.Perform basic design for TLC systems according to applicable codes.Define technical solutions for complex problems.Propose optimization/changes in order to minimize quantity/costs or optimize project schedule.Support Chief Engineers in reviewing Tender documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase.Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues.Promote transfer of knowledge through mentoring and training.Prepare if necessary Lesson learned.Participate to External engineering company Qualification for TLC.Prepare TLC training program.Participate to most critical FAT.Core competenciesI& C Engineering backgroundKnowledge of main I& C international codes, standards and best engineering practices (ISA, IEC, IEEE, ATEX, NFPA; API etc.)Deep Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection)Deep Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Safety systems (PA/GA systems, Radio communications,)Deep Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Communication ( systems structural cabling, office network, telephone system)Knowledge of TLC communication protocols and networkingKnowledge of SCADA systems (fiber base / radio / satellite)Knowledge of ATEX systemsKnowledge of Field InstrumentsKnowledge of instrument installation and hook-upKnowledge of I& C field engineeringSeniorityLong-standing experience in TLC Engineering in Oil& Gas/Petrochemical/Energy EPC projects (5-10 years) EducationBachelor/Master Degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering Fluent written and spoken EnglishSoftwareCADOffice
