Overview

In this role you lead Deel's payroll operations for Italy, acting as the founding product leader for a greenfield market. You'll own end-to-end strategy with cross-functional teams to design payroll, HR, and time-tracking solutions tailored to Italy's regulatory landscape. You'll balance ambitious market timelines with prudent prioritization while leveraging AI to accelerate delivery. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape Deel's Mediterranean expansion and drive cross-country product alignment.

Responsabilità

  • Define the product strategy for the Italian market across payroll, HR, time, and services
  • Lead an engineering team to execute the roadmap
  • Coordinate dependencies across Product (payroll engine), Time, HRIS, and Services teams
  • Break complex requirements into iterative increments and ship fast
  • Own relationships with key accounts and validate solutions with customers
  • Collaborate with sales, implementation, and local compliance teams to enable scalable solutions
  • Think entrepreneurially to build a market entry playbook from scratch
  • Leverage AI to accelerate build and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with local teams
  • Master Italian labor law (CCNL, INPS, regional variations) to ensure compliant solutions
  • Position Italy as the anchor market for Deel's Southern Europe expansion

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Based in EMEA with proximity to the Italian market
  • Fluent in Italian and English for coordination
  • Comfort with ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information
  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams and external partners
