Overview

As a Senior Electrical Hardware Designer, you will own the design of control cabinets and electrical systems for high-speed packaging machines. You will lead a small project team and coordinate with mechanical and software offices to ensure compliant, robust designs. Your work shapes the electrical backbone of cutting-edge automation systems and supports testing, commissioning, and CE compliance. This is a growth path into R&D coordination within a world‐leading machinery group.

Responsabilità

  • Develop electrical hardware designs aligned with project goals, schedules and costs
  • Create schematics, cabinet layouts, BOMs, assembly drawings, test protocols and related documentation
  • Define control cabinet and electrical/power distribution architectures (PLC, servo drives, fieldbus, safety)
  • Propose innovative, cost-effective machine changes and contribute to design standards
  • Provide technical coordination for a small team of designers and external suppliers
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure project compliance
  • Support assembly, commissioning and debugging in workshop; resolve electrical issues
  • Oversee CE compliance and Machinery Directive adherence with relevant functions
  • Manage administrative tasks (purchase requests, quotations, supplier relations)

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in electrical design of control cabinets for automatic machines (packaging or high-speed machinery)
  • Strong command of EPLAN (P8); knowledge of ELCAD is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of PLCs, multi-axis servo systems, fieldbus, cabinet building and on-board wiring
  • Familiarity with CE compliance requirements (Machinery Directive, EN 60204-1) and functional safety principles
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and interfaces with mechanical design
  • Experience coordinating small teams and external suppliers
  • Good command of English
