Overview
As Head of Production Engineering, you lead the factory's technical authority to drive performance and transformative process improvements. You partner with global engineering teams to industrialize new products and optimize layouts, capacity, and standards. You own technical governance, quality methods, and CAPEX asset management, while building capability through coaching and talent development. This role combines strong leadership with data-driven decision making to deliver operational excellence in wind turbine manufacturing. You will shape the engineering reference point for the Taranto factory and contribute to Vestas' renewable energy mission.

Responsabilità
- Lead Production Engineering and Technical Support as the factory's primary technical authority
- Collaborate with Global Product and Process Engineering to implement improvements
- Oversee introduction and industrialization of new products, tooling, equipment, and processes
- Coordinate layout optimization, capacity planning, simulations, and equipment performance
- Own manufacturing standards, SOPs, BOM accuracy, process validation, and technical governance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation
- Manage CAPEX assets, including investment planning, approvals, and take-over sign-off
- Develop technical capability through training, coaching, and succession planning
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years in manufacturing operations
- Experience with product and process verification and validation
- Knowledge of quality methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt)
- Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC; certification
- Project management certification or proven engineering project delivery
- Auditor knowledge or auditing experience
