In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, working closely with customer operations and internal Cisco teams to deliver innovative, secure, and efficient IT infrastructures. As a resident engineer in Rome, you will play a key role in Data Center and ACI projects, supporting both design and troubleshooting efforts.ResponsibilitiesLead design, configuration, and optimization of Cisco solutions to accelerate customer outcomes.Support presales activities by translating business requirements into technical solutions.Work daily with customer operations to deliver consulting and technical support.Build simulations and test environments to validate complex issues and compatibility challenges.Create High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, and Implementation/Change Management Plans.Collaborate with Cisco account teams, partners, and internal resources to ensure smooth project execution.Act as the first point of contact for resolving complex customer issues.Capture and share lessons learned, contributing to new methodologies and best practices.Deliver documentation, training, and knowledge transfers to customers.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong switching and routing expertise, including scripting for Cisco devices.Hands-on experience with CiscoACIandNexusplatforms (configuration and troubleshooting).Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent) with 3–6 years of relevant experience.Minimum ofCCNA/CCDPcertification;CCNP/CCDPstrongly preferred.Proven secondary expertise in at least one of the following:Automation, Security, or AI.Personal AttributesStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to dynamic customer environments.Clear communicator with strong organizational skills.Proactive, customer-focused, and outcome-oriented mindset.Equal Opportunity StatementAtAcuative , we believe our strength comes from our people — and that includes people from all backgrounds.
