Role Description

Seasoned Travel Designer — Italy & France

This role is responsible for designing and managing complex travel itineraries in Italy and France — accommodations, transportation, tours, and specialized experiences tailored to client preferences. Day-to-day work includes consulting with clients to understand their needs, researching destinations and vendors, preparing detailed proposals, and finalizing bookings and confirmations. The role also involves managing changes, troubleshooting travel issues, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with partners and suppliers to ensure seamless service delivery. You'll work closely with a small team, uphold high service standards, and help refine processes and offerings as the business grows. Occasional Saturday hours required during peak season.

Location: open to either of the following:

  • NJ-based: In-office, near Morristown NJ.
  • Italy-based: Independent contractor with a valid Partita IVA (or eligible to obtain one).Remote

Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional experience in travel arrangements, travel management, and/or event planning (leisure or group tour travel)
  • Demonstrated commitment to Italian and/or French tourism — through work history, study, language, or travel
  • Proven track record in a travel agency, tour operator, or similar travel-focused environment
  • Experience handling complex itineraries, scheduling, and vendor coordination
  • Experience purchasing individual or group airline tickets
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients and partners
  • Exceptional organizational skills and accuracy in documentation; able to manage multiple client requests simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and standard office software
  • Bachelor's degree; degree in Travel, Hospitality, Tourism, or Event Planning preferred
  • Fluent in English; Italian and/or French language skills a plus
