Overview
In this role you lead the global development and people leadership for a strategic portfolio of digital IoT solutions across on-premise, edge, and cloud. You translate market needs into scalable, secure offerings while driving digital innovation and AI-enabled software development. You manage a cross-functional team spanning cloud, edge, analytics, and cybersecurity, aligning technical excellence with business priorities. This position supports ABB Motion's mission to enable leaner, cleaner industrial operations through digitalization and secure-by-design practices. You will shape the future of digital solutions with a customer-focused, performance-driven mindset.
Responsabilità
- Lead end-to-end digital IoT solution engineering and technology strategy
- Drive development and delivery of complex digital IoT solutions across hybrid cloud and edge
- Spearhead AI and agentic AI transformation in software processes and offerings
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering leadership team across cloud, edge, analytics, cybersecurity
- Own cybersecurity as a core function and embed secure-by-design throughout development
- Establish agile delivery governance, metrics, and quality standards with balanced innovation and debt management
- Foster cross-functional alignment with product management, architecture, operations, and stakeholders
- Promote an innovation-driven engineering culture supporting scaling, talent development, and R&D transformation
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field
- Significant leadership in digital solution engineering, software R&D, or IoT product development with multidisciplinary teams
- Hands-on Azure cloud experience and delivering complex digital products across hybrid environments
- Proven success leading AI transformations in software development and integrating AI into customer offerings
- Strong business acumen linking technology to customer value and commercial outcomes; cybersecurity knowledge and secure development practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience with agile methodologies (SAFe) and modern engineering practices
